Brainscab Diagnosis=Vain : Enough Rope

Jackie Rainbow Records
Vain is one of those bands that has been able to endure the time and pressure most bands collapse from. Even though not being huge in the fame game they are still around and rocking like no other. “Greener”, “Triple X”, “Hot Stage Lights”, “Stray Kitten”, “Cindy”, “Treasure Girl”, “Enough Rope”, “Solid Gold”, “The Distance Of Love”, “Vain”, “Worship You”, are all from an era of rock n roll that some say is dead, I say it never went anywhere and is here to punch the nay sayers in the nose once again. Vain is as on time today as they were in the early years.

Through the majestic darkness of the inner eye, the tourchered souls of warriors shall rise and smite the pure of heart. Metal as a challenge is what I say. Annihilationmancer has challenged the threshold of modern metal as we know it. Thrashing to a sound not unfamiliar of days past (Megadeth, Metal Church eg: 80’s era.) but with a freshness of originals in “The Involution Philosophy”.  “Antimateria”, “Etereo”, “The Involution Philosophy”, “Apolide”, “ Impoverishment God Existence” , “ Corner of the Answers”, “ Reflected in her Life”, “ Mind Surrounds the Cavities of Fear”, fills the mind, the soul and the blood with pure METAL that is familiar enough to catch your attention, but original enough to keep searching for more.

Brainscab Diagnosis=Sanctus Infernum: Sanctus Infernum

I have known some of the boys from Sanctus Infernum for some time now in some other local bands in the Wichita, Kansas area. I do believe they have gotten it right with this recording. Slamming out eight creations of dark, heavy, suffering, metal tunes fit just right in my riff leaden hart that craves for more. “Flesh Without Sin”, “God Unto Myself”, “The Journey Back”, “Facing The Black”, “Suffer”, “Waking The Dead”, “What Calm is Without Storm”,  “Let It Be So” will bring you into a world of melodic extremes of raw classical metal.
