Brainscab Review= Inferis: We Fight

This 4 song power/prog metal EP is about as solid as a band can get within the spectrum of musical mastery. Inferis is the kind of band that is a golden find for you that have a massive collection of metal scattered in all of its glory and splendor. With the spin of the disc you will experience “We Fight! (The title track)”, “Tradition and Blood”, “Words in Time”, and “Tradicion Y Sangre”. With an anthem of guitar riffs and arena sized blasting tunes to share to the world this is just only the beginning for Inferis and it’s soon to rail across the world behind its banner of powerful guitar driven metal.

Brainscab Review= Raptor: Nothing but Rage

Myself being a product of the 80’s metal scene and having an addiction to the metal sounds from that era you cannot flat me for comparing Raptor to some of those bands from that time. Some of those bands are the Lost and Flies on fire, but it doesn’t stop there because that is only the more rock sound that Raptor presents on “Nothing but Rage”. Of course sense the words are a mix of English and of their native tongue this band from Chile give a listener a mix of sonic blasts unique to the ear. But the major feel that I at least get from this effort is of a progressive heavy rock with a hint of death that is musically interesting as well as intense. “ Coleflecha”, “ Rituales Celestiales”, “ Rising Future”, “ Nothing but Rage”, “ Should I care For Me”, “Seed of Insania”, “ My Own”, “Some Other Life”, “ The Thing”, “ Xcso”, is the play list for Raptors, “ Nothing but Rage”. Get it play it you will not regret it.

Brainscab Review= Headhunter: Parasite of Society

AFM RECORDS GmbH
This review is long over-due!!! This Headhunter from Germany gives you all that are metal from the country of Teutonic knights. As their metal fore-fathers Accept and the Scorpions, Headhunter has that raw emotion driven sound that only comes with the German twist. Of course that being said this band is headed by non-other than Schmeir (Bass and Vocals) of Destruction fame so you just know that Parasite of Society is going to be one killer LP. With the help of Schmuddel (Guitar and Backing Vocals) from the classic metal band Talon and on Drums Jorg Michael who has played in band like Stratovarius, Saxon and Running Wild gives you a metal experience worth every nickel, dime and quarter you can dig up to purchase this metal anthem. “3rd Man Introduction”, “Parasite of Society”, “Silverskull”, “ Remission”, “Doomsday For The Prayer”, “18 And Life (Skid Row cover)”, “Read My Lips”, “Backs To The Wall”, “Egomaniac”, “The Calling”, “Payback Time”, and “Rapid Fire (Judas Priest cover)” gives the listener a full range of metal to experience.

Brainscab Review=Slumpark Correctional: F.T.U.N.

Risestar If you want a slam in the face metal act then SLumpark Correctional is that act. F.T.U.N. Is a recording that a true in the pit mosh maniac can thrash about destroying all within reach. Being an old school Hard-core crossover dwelling more on the metal side this effort is full of energy and hate that can match bands like Pro-Pain and Agnostic Front. With tracks like “ Nowhere Through”, “ Refuse Resist (Sepulatura)”, “ Fuck The United Nations”, “Lick The Droppings”, and “Sin For Me”, are anthems to be bleed through the speakers of blown out eardrums and smashed faces.

Brainscab Review=Affliction: Execution is Necessary

Blasting you with these 13 songs, “Retribution”, “The End”, “Palaces Of Hell”, “The Question”, “Hollow”, “The Cause”, “New World”, “WWW”, “Dark Side Of Creation”, “Raven”, “Promised Land”, “Chaos of Two Thousands”, and “Sweet Darkness”, will leave even the strongest of us sweating and bleeding in a wasted mass on the floor. Affliction is a force that has the power to cleanse the world of strife and conflict by destroying anyone in their path. You must experience the life changing “Execution is Necessary”.

Brainscab Review=Queensryche: American Soldier

Rhino
If you are into any kind of metal then you already know this band and what they are capable of creating. American Soldier is vintage Queensryche but coming from a rougher edge than the past. Of course the material they are composing fits perfect for the message. Covering in a concept of the war that we as Americans are in right now in Iraq and Afghanistan. I will tell you the truth being a veteran of Iraq and losing buddies to the insurgents this CD brings tears to my eyes every time I give it a spin. This is a solid piece for your complete Queensryche collection or a good start for those not really into Queensryche. “Sliver”, “Unafraid”, “Hundred Mile Stare”, “At 30000 Ft”, “A Dead Man’s Words”, “The Killer”, “Middle of Hell”, “ If I Were King”, “Man Down!”, “Remember Me”, “Home Again”, and the “Voice” will rip at your heart. If it doesn’t then you are not worth my time.
