I can see this band in a smoke filled bar with a one toothed bar made serving the drinks and a fat bar tender who is retired form the military. Up on the stage (or the corner of the bar) just off the dance floor with a stripper pole and a mirror ball is Acid Drinkers. Flirting with the drunk chick regulars and getting into fights with the red-necks. “Del Rocca”, “Barmy Army”, “I mean Acid (do you like it)”, “Waitin’ For The Hair”, “L.O.V.E. Machine”, “Fuck The Violence (I’m Sure I’m Right)”, “I Am The Mystic”, “Woman With The Dirty Feet”, “Megalopolis”, “Nagasaki Baby”, “Moshin’ In The Night”, “Mike Cwel”, being the tunes of the evening. Are You Rebel? is a good time rock and roll, beer drinking bar fighting, bad one liners just to get laid kind of LP to have around.

Brainscab Diagnosis=Suicidal Angels: Dead Again
Noiseart Records
For those born in “Damnation” can feel “Reborn In Violence” of a “Bleeding Holocaust”. It is for those in “The Trial” given a “Suicide Solution” be they a “Beggar Of Scorn” so they will be “Victimized” with “Violent Abuse”. When they see “The Lies Of Resurrection” to only be left with a “Search For Recreation” to feel the darkness of being “Dead Again” awaiting for the “Final Dawn. “Suicidal Angels” bring the message on wings of those that are “Dead Again”.

Brainscab Diagnosis=Skyclad: Prince Of The Poverty Line
Imagine taking the likes of Iron Maiden, Savatage and W.A.S.P. mixing it with a Celtic/Cajun grim sound, thus is created Skyclad. With “Prince Of The Poverty Line”, you will experience the underside of what we label as “Civilization”. When you experience the full throttle of this pure epic power metal outfit you will have an understanding why metal is the only genre of music for the likes of my soul. “Civil War Dance”. “Cardboard City”, “Sins Of Emission”. “Land Of The Rising Slum”, “The One Piece Puzzle”, “A Bellyful Of Emptiness”, “A Dog In The Manger”, “Gammadion Seed”, “Womb Of The Worm”, “The Truth Famine”, all send a message to open our eyes and look past the pretty lights of the city and the scent of blooming flowers in your gardens and see the filth, smell the stench that is man. But, that is not all Skyclad has to offer here! “Brother Beneath The Skin”, Widdershing Jig”, “The Cradle Will Fall”, are also hidden thorns on this LP. “Prince Of The Poverty Line”, is for those wanting their ear candy to be non-politacaly correct and with a bit of attitude then this is it.

Brainscab Review=Hardcore Circus: Wake Up Call
Silverside Records
This is a who’s who of metal/hard rock players. Joakim Bloohm(Randy Piper’s Animal), Nalley Pahlsson (Treat, THerion, Last Automn’s Dream, Vindictiv), C.J. Grimmark (Narnia, Rob Rock), Mats Leven (Yngwie J Malmsteen, Therion, Treart, Swedish Erotica). They play a Melodic Hard Rock style similar to Rainbow (during the Joey Lynn Turner years). Making a very strong mix of good and solid rock songs with just the right attitude needed in the scene with “ She Goes Down”, “Queen Of Dirt”, “Under My Skin”, “Who I Am”, “Life”, “Hardcore Circus”, “Wake Up Call”, “Pain”, “Tattooed Junkie”, “Miracle”, driving home a modern message of the movement started so many years ago. Hardcore Circus “Wake Up Call”, is here and demands to be heard.

Brainscab Review=Golden Resurrection: Glory To My King
Liljegren Records
This Progressive Christian metal brings forth the hammer of God. Showing the light at the end of the tunnel that so many desire to bare. “See My Commands”, “Best For Me”, “Glory To My King”, “Never Look Back”, “The Final Day”, “Proud To Wear The Holy Cross”, “Golden Flames”, “Gods Grand Hotel”, “My Creation”, are all for the glory be thee God. Of classic harmonies and hyper blasting beats, Golden Resurrection stays true to form as well as the message that good metal can show the light through the darkness.
